Last Wednesday saw 12000 spectators stream into Killarney to take in a day of spinning, drag racing and drifting. The day kicked with drag racing on the main straight and spinning at the oval, with drag racing being my passion I spent most of the morning covering the quarter mile kings of Killarney before being drawn to the Oval just after 3pm by the sound of squealing tyres and the roar of the crowds. With the drivers not having much practice prior to race day the drifting only got better as the familiarised themselves with the track and as they did they started coming out in pairs to take on the track in tandem… insane stuff…

But lets kick of the way the day kicked off… with the drag racing…
