Sunday’s Exclusively ///M breakfast run was my first event as a BMW owner, placing me in a position I haven’t been in for a while… as participant. With the destination being the Orchard in Grabouw the route meant we were taking in highways and a mountain pass so I was expecting some “spirited” driving but I was pleasantly surprised by the restraint (except maybe for the 1st few kilometers) shown by the participants in spite of the presence of an aggressively driven Mk1 Golf (not part of the convoy) and a super fast Corvette (kinda part of the convoy). It was an awesome event, well organised and coordinated. There was one problem for me though.. the prevalence of BBS rims, if you know what I mean ;). Thanks for Rashaad and the guys from Exclusively ///M for their hospitality… see you guys soon. Cheers, Robert

With only a small contingent of cars making the trip from upcountry to participate in the Cape Town round of the national drag racing series the excitement and anticipation on the day was purely focused on what I believe is the most powerful car to turn a wheel at Killarney, a 6000HP European Nitro Funny Car. Although unable to do any kind of spectacular pass due to the nature of the Killarney track it did manage to get the excitement levels up. The “normal” car contingent was dominated by the Rover-Tec bakkie which managed a 9.85s pass.
