RACEWEB Issue 18 out now
10-10-09 WPMC (Killarney) Drag Racing Nationals
Saturday saw Killarney hosting a national drag racing event, with bikes running low 9’s and cars running in the 8’s it was epic. The weather played it’s part and the crowds came out to enjoy what has to be one of the best drag racing events in recent history. The day was not without incident with amongst other things one competitor managing to engaged NOS while staging on the start line, resulting in one hell of a bang under the hood 🙁

10-09-25 Saldanha Drags
West Coast Motor Racing Club’s Saldanha drag racing event is one of those events you have to attend & with a bumper number of entries there was no way I was going to miss it this time around either. 10-09-24 Killarney Tow Show
This years Heritage Day saw Killarney being invaded by Tow Trucks of all shapes and sizes, most notably being a Chevy V8 powered Iveco and another truck sporting an RB26 powerplant. The highlight of the day had to be the timed tow competition, with the trucks leaving the new pit area, hooking up a “wreck” on the main straight and then driving approximately 100m. The fastest time I heard was a shade over 32 seconds, hectic stuff. Check out all the photos in the gallery
10-09-18 CTSR dyno day
I made a turn at Saturday’s CTSR Crew dyno day to catch some of Cape Town’s hottest street cars getting put through their paces on the rollers of Dynotech in Brackenfell. Check out all the photos in the gallery
10-09-12 WPMC (Killarney) Drag Racing
Last Sunday saw the return of the quarter mile monsters after a short hiatus. The lack of competitors didn’t diminish the action as a number of cars managed low 10 second passes. The day was however marred by a number of the top cars suffering breakages, let’s hope they’re sorted for the next event on the 10th of October.
